Workshop: Non-invasive Neurophysiology and Neuromodulation approaches – Role of Clinical Physiologists

As part of the 64th National conference of the Association of Physiologists and Pharmacologists of India at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, a half-day Workshop will be conducted on “Non-invasive Neurophysiology and Neuromodulation approaches – Role of Clinical Physiologists”.

Date: 28.11.2018.

Organizing team: Cognitive Neurophysiology Laboratory, Department of Physiology, AIIMS, New Delhi.

Resource Personnel:

  1. Prof K P Kochhar
  2. Prof. Suman Jain
  3. Prof. Raj Kumar Yadav
  4. Dr Ashlesh Patil

Duration of Workshop: 3 hours

Importance of the Workshop:

These areas are currently of great relevance in the applied and translational physiology studies. Currently high thrust and hot areas of research.

Workshop Details:

The resource personnel will demonstrate the following techniques and research methods:
  1. Bereitschafts Potentials to assess Motor Planning and Motor Cognition
  2. fNIRS technique to map cerebral hemodynamics in decision physiology and executive function
  3. Visual Tracking to assess attention by showing standardized food and mood images
  4. Wireless physiologic monitoring to quantify Autonomic stability and range

They will also be sharing standardized SOPs for these techniques in neurodevelopmental, neurodegenerative disorders, psychiatry, rehabilitation, evidence based electrophysiologic prognostic and predictive markers.
