Sneha R Ambwani, MBBS MD, AIIMS Jodhpur
Dr. Sneha R Ambwani is working as a Professor & Head, Pharmacology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur (Rajasthan) since March 2013. Earlier she was the Professor and Head, at Dr. S.N. Medical College, Jodhpur. She completed her graduation from Dr. S.N. Medical College, Jodhpur in the year 1988 & post-graduation from B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad (Gujarat) in 1995.
She has more than 25 years of teaching experience & more than 70 publications in different national & international journals. She has published a book titled “Review of on Pharmacology”. she won an award from the Indian Pharmacological for her published work in the year 2000. She was also awarded a certificate of appreciation from Principal, Dr. S. N. Medical College, Jodhpur for Best Performance, /services and dedication as a faculty member in the year 2013.
She has delivered several plenary lectures & presented many papers at national & international conferences & participated actively in the campaign for the rational use of drugs. She has completed the two years FAIMER fellowship through the regional center at CMC, Ludhiana in the year 2018.
She is a member of National Academy of Medical Sciences, India, & Member of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics (Haifa), AIIMS, Jodhpur (Rajasthan). Her areas of interest in research are Cardiovascular Diseases, Metabolic Disorders, Geriatric Health, and Infectious Diseases. She is working on various projects as PI & Co-PI. Presently she is working on the project on Impact of chronic use of Cannabis in humans & Role of vitamin D on metabolism & psychiatric disorders.
